Chiropractor
Dr. Josiah Fitzsimmons
Dr. Josiah Fitzsimmons is originally from Ames, IA. He played college football at South Dakota State and graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a master's degree in Nutrition, Exercise and Food Sciences in a five year span. He then attended the fountainhead, Palmer College of Chiropractic.
After completing his residency out in Denver, he came back to West Des Moines to open Vero Health Center, a state of the art, neurologically based health center. Dr. Josiah has extensive training and experience in pregnancy, pediatrics, athletics, and overall wellness promotion. He has seen results with chiropractic for infertility, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, migraines, sinusitis, arthritis, acute pain, and much more. He has also had the opportunity to watch many children benefit from chiropractic care with health issues like autism, ADHD, colic, bed wetting, and ear infections. Dr. Josiah is a member of the International Chiropractic Association, the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce, the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce, the West Side Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Des Moines Partnership, the Young Professionals Connection and genYP.
Dr. Josiah's passion is to educate and support the families of West Des Moines and the greater Des Moines area through neurologically based chiropractic care so that babies, children, and adults may live a life of greater health. In his spare time, Dr. Josiah loves to spend time with his wife and son, read books and workout.

Dr. Josiah was the first student in the history of the AMPED Chiropractic Conferences to be a main speaker on stage. He spoke to more than 1000 people about what it means to have true commitment to your priorities in life. AMPED is a chiropractic communication and business organization that Dr. Josiah was a leader for during his time at Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Before opening Vero Health Center Dr. Josiah spoke at Cleveland University in Overland Park, KS about what students can do in school to be prepared for success immediately upon graduation.
Dr. Josiah had the pleasure of speaking at the Des Moines Botanical Gardens at a Young Professional Connections event.
Chiropractor
Dr. Logan Dabney
Dr. Logan Dabney is originally from Centerville, IA. He attended Centerville High School where he discovered that his passions were in health and science. He achieved this passion from being a frequent visitor to his hometown chiropractor, Dr. Larry Heffron.
Spending countless hours following Dr. Heffron around in his high school years gave him a huge appreciation for the wonderful healing potential of the body and pushed him to dedicate his future studies to chiropractic. He then attended the University of Northern Iowa where he majored in Pre-Med/Chiropractic Biology. Dr. Logan went on and attended the fountainhead, Palmer College of Chiropractic, to complete his graduate studies.
During his time at Palmer, Dr. Logan was heavily involved in Torque Release Technique (TRT) and has advanced proficiency certification in this technique. He enjoyed spending time outside of class helping students learn how to adjust. He also spent many weekends attending various seminars across the country to improve his knowledge on the many techniques of chiropractic.
Dr. Logan is so excited to be joining the Vero Health Center team to be able to educate Central Iowa on the amazing healing potential of the body. In his spare time, Dr. Logan enjoys hunting, golfing, going to the gym, fishing, and hanging out with his charcoal lab named Bella.

Chiropractor
Dr. Scott Coyle
Dr. E. Scott Coyle is originally from Waterloo, IA. He graduated from Pepperdine University with a bachelor's of science degree in Sports Medicine. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic-West. After practicing in California for several years, he came back to Knoxville, IA in 1997, where he practiced until 2016.
Dr. Coyle then worked in robotic spine/brain surgery for 2 years with Mazor Robotics. He then practiced in Lawrence, KS for 2 years before returning home to join the Vero Health Center team. He has seen great results with chiropractic for chronic neck, mid back, low back pain, headaches, arthritis, fibromyalgia, ear infections and allergies.
Dr. Coyle enjoys spending time with his two teenagers, family, and wife. He enjoys exercising, biking, hiking, outdoor activities, and reading.

Chiropractor
Dr. Chris Hufford
Dr. Chris Hufford, a native to central Iowa, served in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Medic for the first eight years of his adult life. He spent one year in Iraq helping and saving hundreds of soldiers and local citizens. It was his military service that helped him discover his gift for serving people and passion for health and the human body, which led him to Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa.
He majored in biochemistry and biology with a chemistry minor. He wanted to use his degrees to go to medical school, but his journey led him in a new direction after receiving chiropractic care for an Army parachuting injury. Three months of consistent care not only resolved his injury, but changed his health, lifestyle, mindset, and quality of life. Dr. Chris’ health paradigm completely shifted, and he was led directly down the pathway of becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. In 2016, he graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in California. He moved back to Iowa and vowed to serve, lead, teach, and empower his community to live healthy and happy lives.
Dr. Chris is passionate about serving on the production team at his church, volunteering, officiating high school football, health and wellness research, nutrition, activities in the sunshine, cooking, and spending time with the people most important to him. He values faith, family, integrity, selfless service, and abundant love.

Dr. Austin Seitsinger
Dr. Austin Seitsinger is originally from Sumner, Iowa. He studied Biology at the University of Northern Iowa and then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic. He chose to pursue chiropractic at a young age as he has always had a passion for helping others.
After many years of receiving chiropractic care, Dr. Austin knew the path to becoming a chiropractor was right for him. After high school he went on to study Biology with an emphasis in pre-chiropractic at the University of Northern Iowa. Dr. Austin then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic to complete his graduate studies. During his time at Palmer he devoted his time to various extracurricular classes such as Thomas Drop technique and Advanced Soft Tissue technique. He is excited to join the Vero team so that he can help change the lives and well-being of people in his community. Dr. Austin enjoys spending his free time with his friends and family, doing activities such as biking, fishing, hunting and traveling.

Dr. Toby Thepsoumphone
Dr. Toby Thepsoumphone is originally from Smyrna, Delaware. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. Afterwards, Dr. Toby pursued a doctorate degree in chiropractic and graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport.
In addition, Dr. Toby attended Harris School of Business in Dover, Delaware where he earned a degree in Massage Therapy. He has worked as a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2016. His passion is to help others to achieve optimal health and wellness.

Dr. Colby Nelson
Dr. Colby Nelson is originally from Audubon, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Dr. Colby then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport where received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree.
During his time at Palmer College, he was a leader of the Sports Injury Club and participated in a clinic abroad program in Brazil.
Before joining the team at Vero, Dr. Colby operated his own chiropractic clinic for 12 years. In his free time, Dr. Colby loves spending quality time with his wife and 3 children. He also enjoys spending time outdoors, anything health and fitness related, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.

Chiropractor
Dr. Nate Halverson
Dr. Nate is originally from Fort Dodge, IA where he was a multi-sport athlete at Fort Dodge Senior High, where he placed 5th at the Iowa High School wrestling tournament. Dr. Nate found his passion for holistic healthcare from his background in athletics and working to gain the extra edge in competition any way possible. After receiving his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa he went on to graduate with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA in 2015.
Upon graduation from Palmer, Dr. Nate and his wife, Leah, moved to Chicago where he worked as the lead Chiropractor for Chicago Chiropractic & Sports Injury Centers in Lincoln Park. After four years of living the big city life, Dr. Nate and Leah moved back to the Des Moines area to be closer to family and to begin their own family. Dr. Nate has continued to practice in the Des Moines metro area the past few years gaining valuable knowledge along the way. In April of 2022 they welcomed their first baby a girl named, Hayes. And most recently welcomed their son, Steele, in June of 2024. When not serving patients, Dr. Nate enjoys spending time with family and friends, running half marathons/marathons, golfing and watching his beloved Hawkeyes.
Dr. Nate is very eager to bring his abundance of knowledge and skill gained over the years to the Vero family! He has treated numerous different conditions from headaches and low back pain to rehabilitating athletes' sprains, strains and sports injuries. He also brings with him the ability and experience of treating everyone from infants to geriatrics and soccer moms to professional athletes.

Dr. Taylor Vanden Wynboom
I am Dr. Taylor Vanden Wynboom. I am originally from Britt, IA. I received my BS degree from Central College and Doctorate degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Before joining the team at Vero, I owned my own practice both in Ames and Ankeny. In my free time I enjoy coaching football, exercising, and spending time with my wife Amanda, and our 4 kids Tate, Harper, Holland, and Harlow.

Whitney Guyatt
My name is Whitney Guyatt. I am originally from West Des Moines, IA. I moved away for the last 10 years and recently relocated back to the Waukee area.
I worked as an ER/Trauma RN and ICU RN for six years before completing my Master's in Science, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Degree at Grand Canyon University in 2020. In my free time I love spending time with my husband Mark, our daughter Moya, and our two dogs Tinkerbell & Hazel, exercising, or spending time outdoors.

Katie Ewoldt
My name is Katie Ewoldt. I was born and raised in Waterloo, IA. I attended Allen College where I received my Bachelors of Science in nursing. After graduating, I moved to Des Moines and worked as a nurse in maternity for 7 years.
I received my Masters of Science in nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Allen College, as well. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our son, and our bulldog, Steele! We enjoy vacationing and relaxing in the U.P. of Michigan!
