You Give Us Pumpkin To Talk About
November is one of our favorite months. Not only do we get to look forward to watching football, time with family, and pumpkin desserts, but we also get to reflect upon just how grateful we are for our practice members.
You encourage us, challenge us, make us laugh, and have helped us become the best chiropractic clinic in West Des Moines IA. It's an absolute honor to serve and help you feel your very best each week. We couldn't be more grateful!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Don't forget to pick up your free pumpkin pie as our gift to you on November 23, 24, or 25.
THESE JOKES CRACK US UP
How do chiropractors swim laps? They do the back stroke.
"I never believed a chiropractor could solve my back problems. Two weeks later, I stand corrected."
Why was the chiropractor a good interrogator? He always gets the suspects to crack.
What do you call chiropractors who have each other's backs? Vertebros.
Meet Dr. Logan
Hello! I’m Dr. Logan! I was born and raised in Centerville, IA. I attended the University of Northern Iowa, where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Med Biology. After attending UNI, I earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. I have had the pleasure to serve alongside the Vero Health Center team as a resident and now as a long-term member of the team!
Dr. Logan's birthday is on November 14! Be sure to wish him a happy birthday sometime this month.
TEXT NECK SYNDROME & CHIROPRACTIC
It's no surprise that phone usage can cause severe neck pain. Americans check their phones an average of 96 times per day, which is a 20 percent increase from just two years ago! Below are a few ways you can prevent the long-term effects of texting.
- Stand tall and roll your shoulders back and down while using your phone.
- Use your right hand to view your phone and swipe with your thumb.
- Place your left hand on your right rib cage.
- Place your right elbow on top of your left hand to support your right arm.
- Switch sides often to avoid overuse and fatigue.
- Place your elbows on the bottom of your ribs to hold your phone with both hands.
SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS
It's been a difficult year, especially for the teachers in our community. We can't imagine all of the stress and anxiety they face on a daily basis! That's why we teamed up with local massage therapists to provide free massages for teachers at Radiant Elementary and Stilwell Junior High School in October. It was one of the best parts of our month!
